Deloitte Employability Initiative with NOCN
Enhance the employability of your students
Free CPD available for your staff
Deloitte are continuing to expand their highly successful and innovative model for delivering employability skills training to young people, which successfully develops the attitudes and behaviours that are needed for entry level employment and beyond. Over 60 FE Colleges are already involved across the UK. The objectives of the project have been endorsed by the UKCES, LLUK and the AoC.
The Deloitte employability course is supported by the NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Employability, a 120glh qualification on the NQF.
As part of the Deloitte package centres will receive:
- Free 4-day residential Train the Trainer programme in the delivery of effective employability skills. The courses count towards annual CPD requirements and teachers also have the option of completing a Level 4 or 5 award in the delivery of employability skills which can provide credit towards DTLLS and CTLLS qualifications. Courses are delivered by one of 9 regional Deloitte Employability Centres spread across the UK. Training takes place from May 2009 across the UK.
- A full set of teaching and learning materials mapped to the NOCN Level 2 Certificate in Employability which include detailed lesson plans, activities and opportunities for assessment.
- Access to Deloitte volunteers who support Deloitte courses by delivering specific workshop sessions on CVs, Interviews and Presentation skills.
- An observation visit from the local Deloitte Employability Centre to provide further advice and guidance on effective delivery.
- Annual regional networking and conference events for practitioners to share ideas and best practice across the network.
