Qualifications/Units Within The NQF

The Qualifications for Progression are a new and different type of qualification.  They are uniquely flexible in allowing units from different topic areas and the core to be used to design courses.  They offer providers the opportunity to develop life and learning skills as an integral part of any course, together with offering a range of vocational tasters.  Units from the Qualifications for Progression can be combined to create a size and level of qualification that suits the needs of different target groups.

  • The qualifications are eligible for funding in England, Wales and Northern Ireland
  • The units are mapped to National Occupational Standards (NOS)
  • 600+ units can be combined to create tailored and flexible courses
Below is a full list of the 600+ units categorised by Sector Area. To view the unit content, just click on the pdf icon on the right hand side. Alternatively, you can search for a particular unit by keyword and/or by level by using the search facility.
